About the Chesil Theatre

The Chesil Theatre became home to the Winchester Dramatic Society in 1966 and is housed in a 12th century church in Chesil Street in the city of Winchester.

It has over 250 members and stages six productions a year as well as play-readings and social events. The ChesilTheatre is currently in the process of a development campaign to turn the venue into a vibrant and flexible performance space.

The Chesil is a Member of the Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain and the National Operatic and DramaticAssociation. It is a registered charity, Nº 28: Chesil Theatre, Chesil Street, Winchester SO23 0HU5043 A company limited by guarantee and registered in England with company number 1621492.     four of us saw Sleuth on Saturday.wow what a fantastic set.
    Congratulations to everyone,superb .we were on the edge of our seats.we sat next to a first timer who will come again.we are now whipping g up numbers for Little Women.
